6/24/20 - Knox Public Health will conduct a drive-thru clinic in Danville to test for COVID-19 on Monday (6/29) from 1- 3 p.m. The test site will be the Community Health Center, 16 E. Main St. (beside Conway’s Pharmacy). All testing on Monday will be by appointment only.

The drive-thru will take place in the parking lot behind the Health Center. When the testing participant arrives onsite, they will stay in their vehicle while a nurse will administers the test. Paperwork for each drive-thru participant is done over the phone. To make an appointment for the Danville drive thru testing, call the  COVID-19 Call Line at 740-399-8014.

The testing will be by nasal swab and will detect the presence COVID-19. It is not antibody testing.

COVID-19 testing is available to anyone with or without symptoms, age 18 yrs. and older and regardless of where they live or work. The testing is free whether or not a participant has medical insurance.

COVID-19 testing continues to be available by appointment-only through Knox Public Health and the Community Health Center at the Mount Vernon location, at 11660 Upper Gilchrist Rd. The onsite appointments for testing have the same criteria as the drive-thru: available to anyone with or without symptoms, age 18 yrs. and older, regardless of where they live or work and there is no out-of-pocket cost.

For more information about the Danville drive-thru clinic or to make an appointment to be tested, call the COVID-19 Call Line at 740-399-8014. (full article)
