Two Minutes To Success

When brushing your teeth, the magic rule is to brush for two minutes. Did you know that the average time brushing is only 20 seconds?! One of the leading factors to a short brushing cycle is using too much toothpaste.

When you brush your teeth with too much toothpaste, it causes your mouth to get all foamy and makes you want to spit too soon. Make sure your toothbrush has only a pea sized dollop of toothpaste. This should help keep the foam down and make your brushing cycle last longer.

Here are some songs to pass the time and ensure that you are brushing your teeth for the full two minutes your smile deserves:

  • "And Your Bird Can Sing" - The Beatles
  • "Summertime Blues" - Eddie Cochran
  • "All Shook Up" - Elvis Presley
  • "Hit The Road Jack" - Ray Charles
  • "Song for the Asking" - Simon & Garfunkel
  • "Fell In Love With a Girl" - The White Stripes
  • "Particle Man" - They Might be Giants
  • “I’m Happy Just to Dance with You” - The Beatles
  • “Heartbreak Hotel” - Elvis Presley
  • “You Really Got Me” – The Kinks
  • “Come On Everybody” – Eddie Cochran

We even have songs for kiddos so they learn from the get-go how long to brush their teeth! Try these out:

  • "Brushy Brushy" - Sesame Street
  • "The Toothbrush Song" - Duggee and the Squirrel Club
  • "Party Mouth" - Sesame Studios
