4/12/21 - In an effort to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to more residents in different locations, Knox Public Health is hosting a clinic Saturday (4/17) from 9 a.m. to noon at Centerburg High School. More than 500 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be available at the clinic which is open to anyone age 16 and older from Knox County and surrounding counties.

The Saturday clinic replaces the Wednesday clinic at Mount Vernon Energy Field House. There will be no Wednesday clinic this week.  Other clinic locations and dates for first doses are being discussed. The second-dose clinic for Friday will take place as scheduled.

Saturday’s clinic is a walk-in clinic; no appointment is needed. For those with mobility issues, curbside vaccination is available by notifying the parking attendant when you arrive at the clinic.

Centerburg High School is located south of Centerburg at 3782 Columbus Rd, also know as U.S. 36/S.R.3.

Clinic attendees need to bring a photo ID and a copy of their insurance card. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine. Those ages 16 to 18 do not need to be accompanied by a parent, but do need to have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.

Vaccine consent forms are available on the health department website www.knoxhealth.com or can be picked up at any time at the health department, 11660 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon. Having a completed consent form prior to arriving at the clinic expedites the check-in process but is not necessary as there will be plenty of consent forms on site.
