The Knox County Community Health Center will kick off National Health Center Week with a Patient Appreciation Day on Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Knox County Community Health Center is housed inside the Knox County Health Department, located at the corner of Upper Gilchrist and Coshocton roads, just up the road from Wal-Mart.

Activities for Patient Appreciation Day include free medical and dental screenings, T-shirts for children and adults for the first 50 attendees, a scavenger hunt, give-aways and a free lunch for the first 200 attendees. Lunch will feature a cookout with Chef Paul Higgins that will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
