Knox County is currently the 33rd healthiest county in Ohio, according to the ninth annual County Health Rankings, released last week by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. In 2016, Knox County ranked 39th out of 88 counties - a jump in the right direction by six spaces in two years. The annual Rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play. They provide a starting point for change in communities. We all need to work together to do better with preventable measures to reduce our adult smoking and obesity rates, increase physical activity and exercise opportunities, prevent STD's and teen births, to name a few.
