COVID-19 Vaccine 2023

Knox Public Health is scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations for the Fall 2023 season. Residents can call to schedule an appointment at the Knox County Community Health Center, the Moore Family Practice location or the Danville Health Center by calling 740-392-2200, option 1. Vaccines for ages 12 and older will also be available at the Knox Public Health community flu clinics.

CDC suggests everyone 6 months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness this fall and winter. Anyone can receive their vaccine regardless of where they received their previous COVID-19 vaccine. A person's COVID-19 vaccine history will determine the number of doses necessary. Knox Public Health recommends following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines at cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules. Individuals who prefer to receive their flu and COVID vaccine at the same time, may do so by request.

To quickly receive vaccines, attendees should wear a short-sleeved shirt so that their arm is easily accessible. Residents should also bring their COVID-19 vaccine card. Download and complete consent forms for the COVID-19 vaccine from the agency website, knoxhealth.com. For more information, call 740-392-2200, option 1.
