Health Issues
As part of National Women’s Health Week, the Knox County Health Department will host a Healthy Happy Hour on Tuesday, May 11, from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at Allison’s Finer Diner located at the corner of Coshocton and Upper Gilchrist Rds.
Healthy Happy Hour is for women only, ages 18 and up.
Admission is FREE, but RSVP required .

The Healthy Happy Hour will feature health displays and informational tables; there will be items for sale by local women including jewelry and other accessories.
Appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be served FREE of charge
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
Two massage therapists will offer chair massage. Other services for women will be featured including facials, manicures and pedicures. There will be door prizes and lots of give-aways.
At 6:00 p.m., there will be a panel presentation featuring local women healthcare providers including: Dr. Amy Murnen, Dr. Lauren McDowell-Jacobs, Dr. Jennifer Ogle and Becky Dangelo, R.N.

National Women’s Health Week is May 9-15. This weeklong health observance is coordinated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health (OWH).

Ohio Department of Health, Office of Healthy Ohio, Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, Violence and Injury Prevention Program, and The OSU AHEC.
National Women’s Health Week empowers women to make their health a top priority. With the theme “It’s Your Time,” the nationwide initiative encourages women to take simple steps for a longer, healthier, and happier life.
