Breastfeeding makes
difference
WIC recommends breastfeeding for
all of its pregnant mothers. There are lots of reasons
to consider breastfeeding, but your child is the most
important one of all.
Breastfed babies have less:
- Allergies
- Ear aches
- Illnessess
- Weight Problems
- Tooth Decay
- Diarrhea
WIC offers free breastfeeding classes,
twice a month. Our breastfeeding consultant can work,
one-on-one with you to answer your questions, curb
your fears, offer advice and demonstrate techniques.
The breastfeeding classes are presented
by Dina Herald, a certified lactation consultant and
registered dietitian. To register for a class, call
392-2200, Ext. 4000 or by email at dherald@knox
