It starts with a Treatment Plan
After one of our registered nurses has made a visit to the patient's home, a Treatment Plan is developed under the direction of the patient's private physician. Nurses, therapists and aides will then make regular visits to the patient's home to provide care. The patient and family are encouraged to take an active role in planning care and services.

How are services paid for?
Skilled care is reimbursable under Medicare, Medicaid, Worker's Compensation, Veterans Administration and private insurance. Custodial care may be covered by PASSPORT through the Area Agency on Aging, or on a private pay basis.

Who can receive services?
Any Knox County resident may be eligible for in-home healthcare. Services can be short-term, such as during recovery from an injury, illness or surgery; ongoing services would include care of a disabled or elderly person. Home care services can be provided to a person of any age when a need for skilled care exists. Custodial care is available to those who need help with personal care or homemaking.
