The Environmental Health Division works toward preventing disease through enforcement of rules and regulations and the education of individuals and licensed facilities. Services include:

Food Safety Program - Includes inspection and licensing for all food service, food establishments and vending operations; and investigation
of all reported foodborne illnesses.

Residential Sewage System Program - Includes issuing of permits, installation approval, consultation and inspection of home sewage systems. Contact: Brian Benick, RS, MPH

Private Water Well Program - Includes issuing permits, inspection, and testing of new water wells; also water sampling of existing private water wells. Contact: Brian Benick, RS, MPH

Rabies Control Investigation - Includes investigation of all reported animal bites. Contact: Brian Benick, RS, MPH

Vector Control Program - Includes monitoring and control activities for mosquitoes to prevent encephalitis; also monitoring for the presence of West Nile Virus. Contact: Brian Benick, RS, MPH

Solid Waste Program - Includes inspection of licensed solid waste facilities and investigation of open dumping and trash complaints.

Emergency Preparedness - Includes investigation of biologically-threatening substances such as Anthrax and coordination of emergency response activities. Contact: Terri Hillier, RS

Licensing & Inspection for all Public Swimming Pools, Bathing Beaches, Spas and Campgrounds
