The Knox County Health Department houses birth and death records for the county, dating back to December 1908. If a person was born or has died in Knox County, the record is available from the vital statistics office. Only certified copies are available of birth and death records. There is a $20 fee. Payment is due at time of request. There is a form to complete. Requests are fulfilled immediately. There is no waiting time.

Genealogy research is permitted Monday through Friday
9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.
